A: Your order can be collected from Fish Hoek, Cape Town. The address will be emailed to you once we have received payment and we have packaged your selection of ornaments.

Q: How long will it take for me to receive my order?

A: Your order will take up to 2 days to process and to be lovingly packaged. You will receive a confirmation email with the tracking number. The Courier will deliver your parcel to your door in 3-5 days after being dispatched.

Q : How long does it take to make an individual item?

A: The ornaments take a lot of time to create all the intricate detail. There are many different stages in the production of each design. It is difficult to calculate how long it takes from the beginning to the end. Time varies on each different miniature. We prefer working on a few items at a time, especially when our dot brush is painting the perfect eyes.

Q: What materials do you use?

A: When Fay started in 1978 she experimented with many materials. Not finding anything that she liked, together with her husband Norman, they created a personalized mixture based on ceramics, resin, polymers, etc. This private family recipe is still used by us all. We continue to experiment and try different ideas and materials, sharing our new discoveries with each other. We use a variety of mixed media, added to our ornaments from glitter, shells, pods, silk flowers, and bead fittings. We are enjoying creating larger scenes and houses for our ornaments and fairies. It is exciting to be able to recycle plastic bottles and other materials to create magical fairy houses and fairy trees for our ornaments.

Q: Can the ornaments break – how strong are they?

A: Each design is very different, some have delicate wings or thin detailed pieces that could be vulnerable to breaking if dropped or handled roughly. The material we use is, however, quite strong. If an item breaks you are welcome to contact us for advice or to discuss a repair being made. You can fix a broken item yourself with a contact glue-like “super glue”.

Q: Can you clean the ornaments?

A: To clean, dust you can use a soft clean makeup or paintbrush. Some designs can be gently wiped with a dry soft cloth.
